The eight Nordic Institutes for Advanced Studies are pleased to announce the first call for fellowships in the NNF-IAS fellowship programme on Health and Sustainability, supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
This call is the first of four calls. The first sub-theme is: Inequity in Health. In this first call, five fellowships are available for curiosity-driven, talented international researchers from any discipline. The five fellowships are distributed among the four main partner institutes and start on September 1, 2027, lasting for 23 months until July 2029.
Salary: Fellows are offered a full-time salary based on seniority. Employment conditions and wages are regulated through the collective union agreements in the Nordic country of the hosting institute.
Travel and research costs: The fellowship covers relocation travel expenses (amount subject to prior approval by the hiring institute) and offers relocation assistance. The fellowship also includes a budget for research costs of up to EUR 20,000.
Working environment: Fellows will have office space at the hosting institute and can participate in academic training activities, conferences and workshops at the institute. Fellows will also be affiliated with the other Institutes for Advanced Studies in the Nordic countries.
Applicants apply individually, but the selected candidates are also expected to work together as a group during the fellowship and occasionally travel to the other Nordic Institutes for Advanced Studies.
