The ACA Research Grants Program supports high-quality research that advances the Alberta Conservation Association’s mission and strengthens conservation efforts across Alberta.
Average grant: ~$25,400
No maximum, but requests over $40,000 need strong justification
Funds disbursed in two installments: 70% upfront, 30% after final report approval
Open access publication is mandatory (costs claimable for up to 5 years)
Open to qualified individuals with proper insurance and approvals
Graduate students must apply through supervisors (or consider ACA Grants in Biodiversity)
Government employees cannot apply as principal investigators but may contribute
Proposals must use the official template and follow a 14-page limit (excluding cover and FOIPP pages)
