About AEIP Scholars Programme

The AEIP Scholars Programme promotes collaboration between researchers in Africa and Europe by supporting joint research, innovation, peer learning, and science communication.The programme is aligned with the AU-EU Innovation Agenda, particularly its Capacities for Science action, which seeks to strengthen scientific capacity and encourage research that produces practical solutions to shared challenges.Rather than supporting researchers to work independently, the programme brings African and European scholars together to develop collaborative research outputs with potential real-world impact

AEIP Scholars Programme Requirements

The programme is open to scholars who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Aged between 25 and 35.
• Based in Africa or Europe.
• Enrolled in PhDs, Post-Docs, or further studies at the time of application.
• Have ongoing or completed research projects, theses or dissertations aligned with the AU-EU Innovation Agenda Capacities for Science action.
