APNI Phosphorus Fellowship Requirements
- Applicants must be full-time scientists working at an African NARES institution or university
- Only applicants who have completed their Ph.D. program will be considered
- Applicants must submit a creative proposal addressing current knowledge gaps or synthesizing existing information leading to improved P management
- Proposals must address P management in combination with at least one of APNI’s high priority topics: 4R Nutrient Stewardship, Carbon farming, Soil health, or Precision farming
- Evidence of scientific partnerships and institutional collaboration will be reviewed favourably
- Female scientists are especially encouraged to apply
Application Date and Process
- Prepare a description of how the Fellowship will lead to improved understanding of P management in agricultural systems
- Obtain two letters of support, one from the applicant’s supervisor, signed and on official letterhead
- Prepare a resume including date of birth, academic degrees, and relevant publications
