Age & Opportunity, in association with Pavee Point Traveller & Roma Centre is delighted to announce that the Award for an Older Traveller Artist 2026 is now open.This is the second year of the award which aims to highlight the often-undervalued contribution of contemporary Traveller culture, particularly within mainstream Irish society and to recognise and support the everyday creativity of older artists and makers within the Traveller community.
Selected applicants will receive:
Be aged 40 or over
Identify as Irish Traveller or of Traveller heritage
Be based in the Republic of Ireland
Be involved in a regular creative or artistic practice
