About OeAD Franz Werfel Scholarship
Franz Werfel Scholarship supports funded research stays in Austria for scholars focused on Austrian literature; the Franz Werfel Scholarship provides monthly grants (€2,500/month) for research stays of four to nine months with possible extensions up to eighteen months. This opportunity is aimed at postgraduate researchers, PhD candidates, postdocs and university instructors who have a clear academic connection to Austrian literature.
The scholarship is managed by OeAD on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Women, Science, and Research in Austria. OeAD administers the fellowship, which enables selected scholars to work as visiting researchers at Austrian university departments and to use libraries, archives and research facilities during their funded stay.

OeAD Franz Werfel Scholarship Requirements
