About AAUW International Project Grants

The AAUW International Project Grants program supports alumnae of the AAUW International Fellowship program who want to use their education, professional expertise, and leadership experience to create positive change in their communities.

The program focuses on gender equity, women’s empowerment, community development, and sustainable social impact.

Benefits of AAUW International Project Grants

• Maximum grant: Up to $10,000 per project

AAUW International Project Grants Requirements

Applicants must meet the program’s specific alumnae and citizenship requirements.

Eligible applicants must:

• Identify as women.
• Have completed an AAUW International Fellowship between June 2011 and June 2026.
• Serve as the primary project director.
• Be a non-U.S. citizen.
• Not hold U.S. permanent residency.
• Not be applying for U.S. permanent residency.
• Implement the proposed project in their home country, unless an exceptional circumstance justifies implementation elsewhere.

Exceptions to the International Fellowship completion period may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
