About AAUW international Projects Grants
AAUW’s International Project Grants foster lasting impact by supporting International Fellowship alumnae who return to their home countries to lead community-based initiatives. These grants empower alumnae to apply their academic expertise and leadership skills to projects that advance gender equity and improve the lives of women and girls.
Benefits of AAUW international Projects Grants
- The grants will offer an amount up to $15,000.
- Winners will get a chance to create a change in their community.
- Grant amount must be used for the dedicated project purposes.
AAUW international Projects Grants Requirements
- Applicants must be non-US citizens or permanent residents.
- Only women participants are eligible to apply for this paid grant.
- Applicants must be an AAUW International Fellowship alumna who has successfully completed their academic program for which they have received the AAUW fellowship and all related requirements by June 30th of the application year
- They are expected to reside and implement their project within their home country for the whole duration of the American Association of University Women grant.
- Only those individuals who are living abroad because of war, political unrest, or humanitarian situations might be allowed to carry out their project outside their home country. In these situations, individuals must exhibit a deep bond with the host community and explain how the initiative meets local needs.
- Applicants must be in charge of all programming, financial, administrative, and editorial choices and serve as the principal project director.
- They must be leading a project that directly benefits the women and girls in their neighborhood.
