About American University of Paris Scholarship

The American University of Paris scholarship is now accepting applications for the spring semester undergraduate and graduate programs. International scholarships are awarded to qualified students based on merit. Once admitted to one of the approved undergraduate or graduate courses at the American University of Paris Scholarship, students can apply for awards.

Benefits of American University of Paris Scholarship

The following are the benefits of the American University of Paris Scholarship.

For Undergraduate:

• Annual Aid Amount: AUP awards over €6 million each year to students from all nationalities.
• Recipients: Approximately 50% of students receive aid, with some receiving up to 75% tuition coverage.
• Form: Most awards are tuition abatements.

Types of Aid Available:

• Merit-Based Awards (no separate application needed):

  • Cross-Cultural Award: €7,000/year

  • GPS Co-Curricular Scholarship: €5,000/year

  • French Community Scholarship: €10,000/year

  • Cultural Program Award: €1,000 (one-time)

  • Thrive Award: €5,000/year

  • Alumni Scholarship: 10% of tuition/year

  • Veterans/Yellow Ribbon Scholarships: €5,000/year

• Note: Only for incoming degree-seeking students. Not available to visiting or First Year Abroad students.

 Need-Based Tuition Awards:

• Based on financial need + admissions profile
• Must submit the AUP Financial Aid Application
• Average award: ~33% of tuition
• Most awards capped at 50%, except:

AUP Scholar Award:

• Covers 75% of tuition
• For students with top academics + financial need
• Requires a separate Financial Aid Application
• Includes active participation in AUP community (e.g., events, student ambassador roles)
• Awarded to first-year applicants only

For Graduates:

• 100% merit-based scholarship for overseas students.
• Additionally available are partial scholarships of 33% and 50%.

American University of Paris Scholarship Requirements

Applicants must have the following:

• International as well as American students are eligible for the awards.
• The award is based on the applicant’s personal history.
• Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials.
• Graduate program candidates are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
