The African Poetry Digital Humanities Grant, aimed at supporting research at the intersection of African poetry and digital humanities. Grant amount: $10,000
Eligible applicants include:
Scholars, researchers, and academics specializing in African poetry, literature, or related fields
Individuals with experience in digital humanities or digital research methods
Researchers interested in leveraging the African Poetry Digital Portal for scholarly inquiry
Abstract (300 words) – Summarize the project’s focus, goals, and expected impact
Project Narrative (up to 3 pages) – Include:
Area of African poetry being explored
Research question and approach
Digital or computational methods to be applied
Technological requirements
Timeline with key milestones and deliverables
Proposals should clearly articulate the significance of the research, how it contributes to digital humanities scholarship, and how the African Poetry Digital Portal will be utilized.
