The Events Equipment Grant Programme supports local, community-led organisations in purchasing equipment required to deliver, sustain, and expand community events. The programme focuses on building long-term capacity rather than one-off activities, ensuring that funded equipment continues to benefit the community over time.
Eligible applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
Formally constituted organisations
Community-managed and autonomous bodies
Operate on a not-for-personal-profit basis
Work at a local community level within the Borough
Governance and Compliance Requirements
Applicant organisations must demonstrate good governance by providing:
Governing documents confirming inclusive and open membership
An Annual General Meeting (AGM) where each member has an equal vote
A management committee or board elected through a democratic process
An annual report presented at the AGM
An annual statement of accounts
Applicants should:
Review eligibility and governance requirements carefully.
Clearly define the equipment to be purchased and its community benefit.
Demonstrate how the equipment will be used beyond a single event.
Prepare required governance documents, accounts, and reports.
