Opportunity Details
The Career Development Grant Program is designed to recognize and support arts professionals in New Brunswick who demonstrate exceptional talent and potential. The program provides targeted funding to help artists advance their careers, gain visibility, and access professional growth opportunities.
Maximum grant per component: $3,000.
One application per component per deadline; only one grant per component per fiscal year.
Eligible expenses: artist fees, subsistence, travel, transportation, accommodation, and related project costs.
Ineligible expenses: capital costs, administrative fees, and promotional material costs outside the grant scope.
Eligible Applicants
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, applicants for permanent residency, or individuals with First Nation affiliation on Turtle Island.
Must have lived in New Brunswick for at least one year prior to applying.
Must meet artsnb criteria for professional artists.
Applicants with overdue Final Reports from previous artsnb grants are ineligible.
Eligible Disciplines
Architecture, craft, dance, literary arts, media arts, multidisciplinary arts, music, theatre, and visual arts.
Collaborative projects are allowed if they follow co-creation guidelines and include required documentation.
Project Description: Up to 350 words outlining the project, objectives, and expected outcomes.
Budget: Balanced budget detailing grant usage and any additional funding sources.
Artist CV: Demonstrating professional experience and achievements.
Work Samples: Relevant examples of prior work.
Official Invitation: Required for Arts by Invitation component.
Optional Materials: Press clippings, letters of recommendation, or other supporting documents.
