The Artist in Residence program at The Farm Margaret River Residency gives visual artists a chance to focus on their work and create art inspired by the place around them.The program selects artists who have strong creative skills and want to create meaningful work. Their artwork should connect with the environment, nature, farming life, or local culture, while also helping the artist grow in their career.The goal of this residency is to support artists in creating bold and thoughtful work that is inspired by the surroundings and real-world issues like ecology, environment, and culture.

Benefits of ASEF Culture360 - The Farm Residency Program in Australia

  • An artist fee of 15,000 AUD will support living and project-related costs during the residency
  • Accommodation and studio facilities provided on site at The Farm Margaret River

  • Open to Australian and international visual artists, individually or in groups.
  • Be an individual visual artist (not a collective or organisation)
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Be able to work independently within a self-directed residency framework
  • Demonstrate a strong and sustained professional practice
  • Be open to working responsively with land, environment, and site.
