Australian Academy of the Humanities is currently accepting applications for its Humanities Travelling Fellowships Program 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to click here to learn more about this opportunity and apply for it.
The Humanities Travelling Fellowships, awarded annually, are one of the Academy’s longest standing awards and were first awarded in 1985.
These Fellowships support early career researchers with costs of up to $4,000 to undertake research overseas, including accessing archives and other research materials and connecting with international researchers and networks.
Applicants
Australian citizens or permanent residents residing in Australia
PhD students or early career researchers (normally within five years of PhD conferral)
Researchers with PhDs older than five years may qualify if they demonstrate significant career interruptions, including COVID-19 disruptions
