The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund provides grants to voluntary organisations to aid research into learning disability and to support the care and relief of individuals affected by learning disabilities.
Grants start from £250.
Amount depends on project scope, total funding needs, and availability of matching funds.
Open to charities and organizations focused on learning disability research, care, and relief.
Includes projects for individuals with early developmental learning disabilities and autism.
Not Typically Funded
Hospices, minibuses (unless for learning disability services), advocacy or arts projects.
Conductive education, swimming/hydrotherapy pools.
Physical disabilities not accompanied by significant learning disabilities.

Application consideration
Your application will be considered by the Trustees at the relevant meeting.
Decision
Formal acceptance or rejection of the application following the meeting - all applicants will be advised in writing of the Trustees' decision after the meeting. If your application has been successful, you will receive a formal grant offer letter for you to sign and return as acceptance to the terms and conditions of the grant offer.
