BCcampus is currently accepting applications for its Rural and Remote Travel Grant Program 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to click here to learn more about this opportunity and apply for it.
The program is designed to reduce financial barriers that prevent educators and instructional support staff in rural and remote British Columbia from accessing professional development opportunities.
Funding can help eligible applicants travel to an event located outside their rural or remote community and participate in professional learning that supports their professional practice.
The grant is particularly relevant to post-secondary professionals who have limited institutional professional development budgets and would otherwise be unable to attend an eligible event.
You must be an instructor or instructional support staff member (e.g., instructional designer, educational developer, faculty developer, educational technologist, learning experience designer) who works in a publicly funded post-secondary institution in B.C.
You must be a resident of B.C. who lives in a rural or remote community outside the event location.
You must not have access to sufficient professional development funds and would be unable to attend this event without financial support. This grant may be used to supplement institutional or other funding.
You have not received a grant from BCcampus in the past two fiscal years.
