About Blue Ocean Entrepreneurship Competition
The competition gives high school students practical experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, business strategy, communication, and pitching.Participants learn how to create a “blue ocean business”—a venture designed to develop new market space rather than compete directly within an overcrowded existing market.The virtual format enables eligible students worldwide to participate without travelling to an in-person competition venue.
Benefits of Blue Ocean Entrepreneurship Competition
- First Place: $1,000, Second: $750, Third: $500.
- People’s Choice Award: $750.
- Regional winners receive $500 each.
- Certificates for participation and outstanding achievement.
- Special recognition for Blue Ocean Teacher Champions
Blue Ocean Entrepreneurship Competition Requirements
- Eligibility: Must be enrolled in high school at registration (graduates before deadline can still submit).
- Mandatory Blue Ocean Mini-Course before pitch submission.
- Pitch format: English-language video, under 5 minutes, <1 GB, uploaded to YouTube with hashtag #blueoceancompetition.
