The Ocean Connection Call for Proposals supports journalists developing impactful stories on the connection between climate adaptation, coastal resilience, and ocean conservation in urban coastal areas.The initiative aims to encourage strong public-interest journalism that raises awareness about how natural ecosystems can be integrated into urban planning to reduce climate risks and improve quality of life in coastal cities.
Benefits of Boticário Group Foundation Ocean Connection Grants for Climate Adaptation Reporting in Coastal Cities
- Each selected project will receive: R$ 10,000
Boticário Group Foundation Ocean Connection Grants for Climate Adaptation Reporting in Coastal Cities Requirements
- Professionals with a degree in Journalism or who prove that they have been regularly exercising professional journalistic activity for at least two years, without the need for prior specialization in environmental coverage, can apply.
- The selection will consider the following criteria: creativity and originality of the agenda; relevance of the theme to society; consistency of the calculation and disclosure plan; curriculum and quality of previous productions; reach of the communication vehicle in which the material will be published.
- Applications can be made individually or in pairs and the selected reports must be published by the end of November this year. In previous editions, the Ocean Connection Notice supported the production of reports on different aspects related to ocean sustainability, as well as productions by photographers and artists.
