The Bundaberg Regional Council Micro Grants Program provides financial assistance to community groups and associations that address local needs. The initiative aims to support small-scale projects, events, or activities that contribute positively to the Bundaberg region while aligning with the Council’s Community Development and Sport & Recreation Strategies. Funding supports tangible outcomes that benefit the local community and enhance participation and engagement.
Be a Bundaberg Regional Council–based group or organisation
Hold not-for-profit status and a current public liability insurance certificate
Have the majority of members residing within the Bundaberg region
Satisfactorily acquit any previous Council grants
Auspicing: Eligible organisations may auspice one other application per funding round; peak bodies outside Bundaberg may act as an auspice for affiliated Bundaberg-based groups
Step 1: Confirm Eligibility Ensure your organisation is Bundaberg-based, not-for-profit, insured, and compliant with previous grant reporting.
Step 2: Prepare Application Include details of the project, objectives, budget, community benefit, and timing.
Step 3: Submit Application Follow Council’s official grant submission process within the designated round.
Step 4: Post-Award Compliance Acknowledge Council in publicity, adhere to grant conditions, and complete project/event within approved timeline.
Step 5: Acquittal Submit a final report if funded, demonstrating completion and responsible use of funds.
