The Awards, held in partnership with Ninety One, and in conjunction with HRH The Prince of Wales, honours the individuals working tirelessly to preserve Africa’s biodiversity and highlight the essential role of on-the-ground local conservation initiatives.

Benefits of Tusk Conservation Awards
- In addition to the Tusk Conservation Award trophy which is presented to the recipient at a ceremony in London later this year, Tusk will provide a grant totalling £75,000 to the winner’s registered organisation in support of their activities. The prize fund will be payable as a grant and spread over three years.
Tusk Conservation Awards Requirements
- Mid-career conservationists with a minimum of 10 years in conservation
- Tangible conservation outcomes achieved in the past 5-10 years – Evidence of potential for future scalability
- Clear and proven leadership qualities
- Demonstrated level of collaboration with local communities with either proven impact and/or behaviour change.
- Inspiration for local or regional conservation actions
- Demonstrated dedication to conservation.
- Potential for project approaches to be scaled
- Proof of new innovative approaches; ways of thinking and solutions to conservation problems
