Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is now accpeting applications for its Alliance International Catalyst Quantum Grant Program 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to click here to learn more about this opportunity and apply for it.
The Government of Canada has launched the National Quantum Strategy (NQS) to amplify Canada’s significant strengths in quantum research, grow its quantum-ready technologies, companies, talent and solidify Canada’s global leadership in this area.
Up to $25,000 for one year.
Covers:
Salaries for trainees, technicians, and research professionals
Materials, supplies, and essential equipment
Collaboration and knowledge mobilization activities
Up to 10% of direct costs for project management (if multiple collaborators)
Applicants must:
Hold or have a firm offer of appointment at an eligible Canadian institution
Be engaged in independent research and authorized to supervise students/postdocs
Not have salaries paid from NSERC, SSHRC, or CIHR grants (except under specific programs)
Adjunct professors with primary affiliation outside Canada are not eligible.
