Opportunity Details
The BIPS Outreach Project Grant provides support to outreach projects that promote the knowledge of the Persianate world among a non-academic audience.
Applicants must be affiliated with a UK-based university, higher education institute, museum, or registered charity.
Employment at the institution is not required, but affiliation must be confirmed.
Projects must include a safeguarding risk assessment and comply with ethical policies of both affiliated and host institutions.
Travel to countries under FCDO advisory will not be funded.
Prepare Your Project Proposal
Ensure your outreach initiative promotes knowledge of the Persianate world to a non-academic audience.
Define a clear outreach goal and target audience.
Confirm Eligibility
You must be affiliated with a UK-based university, institute of higher education, museum, or registered charity.

Compile Required Documents
Completed BIPS application form
Two-page CV
Safeguarding risk assessment
Letter of support from your affiliated institution confirming:
Its ability to receive and manage the grant
Compliance with ethical policies
Two reference letters from individuals familiar with your past outreach work (not involved in the current project)
Review Travel Restrictions
BIPS will not fund travel to countries where the FCDO advises against travel.
