Brown University CSREA Visiting Faculty Fellowship Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a member of the regular faculty at their home institution
- Be on a funded scholarly leave or sabbatical during the fellowship period
- Have a research focus on race, ethnicity, and/or indigeneity in the U.S., the Americas, or related transnational contexts
Application Date and Process
To apply, candidates must submit the following materials:
- A current CV
- A research proposal (2-3 pages) detailing:
- The focus of their project and its relevance to CSREA’s mission
- Expected outcomes and contributions to the field
- How the fellowship will support their work
- A statement of intent (1-2 pages) describing:
- How they will engage with CSREA’s intellectual community
- Their interest in participating in the CSREA Research Fellows Seminar
- A sample of scholarly or creative work (maximum 25 pages)
- A letter from their home institution confirming approval of a funded scholarly leave/sabbatical for Fall 2026
