About Canadian Youth Delegate for Global Health

The Canadian Youth Delegate (CYD) program offers young professionals studying in relevant fields the opportunity to advise Canadian delegations on youth perspectives, and incorporate this perspective into preparations for governing body meetings, providing the CYD with valuable experience in global health diplomacy.

Benefits of Canadian Youth Delegate for Global Health

• Financial support will be available for the successful candidate. If travel is required, participants may need to pay costs upfront; however, all accommodation expenses and a per diem will be reimbursed following participation in the global health meetings.

Canadian Youth Delegate for Global Health Requirements

To be eligible to apply, you must:
- Be a Canadian citizen and hold a valid Canadian passport;
-Be between 18 and 30 years of age (at the time of applying);
-Be currently a student or a young professional in the field of health sciences, clinical
care, or global/public health.

Application Date and Process

Application requirements
To apply, your application must include:
-A completed online application form 
-Your most up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV)
-A recommendation letter (1 page max) from professional (emailed to [email protected] by the referee);

-A recommendation letter (1 page max) from peer (emailed to [email protected] by the referee)
