The Climate Investment Challenge invites postgraduate students from around the world to tackle real-world climate investment barriers using innovative finance structures and advanced climate analytics.The challenge is designed to move beyond theory and encourage solutions that can realistically mobilise capital, improve decision-making, and accelerate climate action across public and private markets.
Cash Prizes
Winning teams are eligible for cash prizes to support solution development.
Total prize pool across both tracks: £16,000–£24,000
Prize distribution varies by track and final judging outcomes

Eligible Participants
The challenge is open globally to postgraduate students.
Teams must meet the following criteria:
Teams of 2–6 members
At least one team member must be a postgraduate student enrolled in an MSc, MBA, PhD, or equivalent programme
Team members may come from the same or different universities
Participants can be based in any country
Originality Requirement
Solutions must be original to the team
Submissions cannot be based on existing company products, platforms, or commercially developed solutions
