About Echoing Green Fellowship

For over 35 years, Echoing Green has been on the front lines of solving the world's biggest problems by raising up transformational leaders who challenge the status quo.

We seek leaders who bring deep knowledge and passion to designing solutions with and for their communities. Fellows are lifelong members of Echoing Green’s community and work across issue areas to advance equity, including education, climate justice, human rights, health, and more.

Benefits of Echoing Green Fellowship

Fellows participating in the program will benefit from the following:

• Capacity Building and Leadership Development

Fellows receive a comprehensive program designed to enhance leadership skills and develop strategies for bringing their ideas to life.

• Wellness and Wellbeing Support

Ongoing support is provided to focus on mental and emotional health, along with self-care workshops tailored to the challenges of entrepreneurship.

• Capital and Expert Resources

Fellows are connected to expert resources and opportunities through the program team. They also receive seed funding over 18 months, with a stipend of USD 100,000. For-profit organizations receive funding as recoverable grants.

• Community and Connections

Fellows participate in virtual and in-person gatherings to foster strong connections within and across classes, regions, and communities. They also benefit from pro-bono support from leading professionals and opportunities to connect with experienced business leaders dedicated to global social change.

Echoing Green Fellowship Requirements

Applicant Eligibility

• Will you be 18 years or older by the time you begin the Fellowship?
• Are you able to communicate proficiently in English?
• Are you an original founder or a leading member of your proposed organization’s original founding team?

Organization Eligibility

• Does your proposed organization have a parent organization?
• Does your proposed organization operate independently and autonomously from your parent organization?
• In your personal assessment, would you describe your organization or idea in the “early stage” of its development and in need of financial and non-financial resources to become sustainable?
• Does your organization use lobbying to further its mission or goals?
• Does your organization promote or recruit for a specific religious faith?
• Have you or any members of the organization’s founding or leadership team previously received an Echoing Green Fellowship?
