The ICGEB-SAWBP Postdoctoral Fellowship is a research programme designed to support high-potential South African women scientists in biotechnology and related fields
Annual Stipend
• ZAR 320,000 per year (non-taxable)
Research Funding
• ZAR 50,000 per year for research expenses
Eligible applicants must:
• Be female applicants
• Be South African citizens or permanent residents
• Possess a valid South African ID number
• Hold a PhD in biotechnology or a related discipline
• Demonstrate strong research ability and academic potential
Priority Groups
Preference will be given to:
• Black South African applicants
• Applicants with disabilities
