Benefits of ICIQ Summer Fellowship Programme Call
- The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia, ICIQ fellowship is a paid internship programme that supports all fellows throughout the duration of the internship.
- ICIQ Summer Fellows will receive a stipend of 30€/day (maximum 900€/month) for the period of their in-person stay at ICIQ.
- In addition to conducting research, summer fellows will receive training sessions to enhance their scientific knowledge and skills.
- They will also attend seminars and conferences organized by ICIQ during the Summer Fellowship 2026.
- Similarly, all ICIQ fellows will be guided and overseen by either a PhD student or a postdoctoral researcher while conducting research assignments alongside leading scientists in their respective fields.
- Undergraduate students can gain valuable insights into the research activities at the institute and engage in research within an international scientific setting through the ICIQ Summer Fellowship Programme.
- Interns will be in a beneficial position to pursue Master’s at ICIQ following their internship and may apply for a PhD position within the institute in the future.
ICIQ Summer Fellowship Programme Call Requirements
- The ICIQ Fellowship welcomes undergraduate students with a background in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Biology, or related fields.
- However, candidates from other disciplines cannot apply.
- In addition, applicants should ideally be in their 3rd year or final year of undergraduate studies, or have completed at least 50% of their credits when starting the fellowship.
- Furthermore, graduate students are not eligible for the ICIQ Summer Fellowship in Spain.
- Similarly, non-EU nationals must arrange their own medical insurance, while EU nationals should obtain a European Health Insurance card before arrival, which is free in their home country.
- Moreover, applicants must be available to start their fellowship in one of ICIQ’s research groups.
- Finally, at the end of the ICIQ Summer Fellowship Programme, summer fellows must prepare and deliver a concise report and presentation, explaining their project’s objectives, methodologies, and outcomes.
