About Integrated Water Resources Management MENA
Opportunity Details
The objective is to form experts adequately trained in the concepts of IWRM. Next to technical and managerial knowledge related to water resources, they should also be familiar with project funding, international cooperation and intercultural communication. Furthermore, projects between Europe and Arab countries need experts who are aquainted with culture, language and politics of both sides.
The ideal student for this master's program holds at minimum a bachelor’s degree and has some working experience at an institute or a company in the water sector. He/she should be fluent in English and have good communicative skills. In addition, participants should be highly motivated to contribute to solving the water crisis and to the development in the Arab region in general. Furthermore, the participants should aspire to make a career in the international water sector.

Integrated Water Resources Management MENA Requirements
Applicants must fulfil the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences)
- At least two years of relevant professional experience after graduation
- Strong academic record (above-average results in first degree)
- English proficiency: IELTS (Band 6) or TOEFL (minimum 550 paper-based / 213 computer-based / 80 internet-based)
- The degree should not be older than six years
- Minimum two years of relevant professional experience after a first degree
- Employment in a public authority, state, or private company in a developing country, involved in development-related projects
- Demonstrated motivation linked to development and willingness to assume social responsibility
- Current or past work in institutions/projects with a development-related focus
