The KOPRI Fellowship Program is designed to foster international research collaboration and provide emerging polar scientists with networking and research opportunities. Through this program, selected fellows gain access to KOPRI’s expanding infrastructure, including office and laboratory facilities, and work closely with KOPRI scientists on structured research projects.The KOPRI Fellowship Program 2026 consists of three categories: Asia, Arctic and Antarctic. The program invites polar researchers to participate in its Institute Visiting Program that offers office space and/or laboratory access within the KOPRI facilities to awardees.
Early career scientists:
Currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program
OR within five years (2021–2026) of completing a master’s or doctoral degree
Arctic Indigenous researchers: Undergraduate, master’s, doctoral students, or graduates
Applicants must secure support from a KOPRI scientist before submission
