About RioCan and BlackNorth Initiative Bursary
This bursary provides financial aid to self-identifying Black Canadian high school and post-secondary students enrolling in real estate-related fields. The RioCan and BlackNorth Initiative Bursary focuses on supporting the black community and helping to make post-secondary education ambitions a reality.
Benefits of RioCan and BlackNorth Initiative Bursary
- Award recipients who meet all criteria and are selected will receive a $5,300 bursary award for university education or $2,650 for college/trades education.
RioCan and BlackNorth Initiative Bursary Requirements
Eligibility criteria:
- The student must identify as Black (Afro-Caribbean, African Canadian, and/or racialized).
- The student must be enrolling or enrolled at a Canadian University/College or Trades School.
- The student must be in their final year of High School or currently enrolled in university.
- The student must demonstrate financial need.
- The student must be enrolled in a qualified field for commercial real estate
