About SACREEE - Capacity-Building Programme for Women Energy Entrepreneurs Second Cohort 2026
The program is dedicated to advancing the careers of women energy entrepreneurs from the SADC region. The initiative is led by the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) in collaboration with the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE), with financial support from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of the International Partnership Austria.

- The capacity-building programme DOES NOT provide capital funding but facilitates enterprise financing through matchmaking and linking entrepreneurs with potential funders.
SACREEE - Capacity-Building Programme for Women Energy Entrepreneurs Second Cohort 2026 Requirements
- The programme is only open to individuals who identify as women and have SADC nationality. Applicants should also be able to commit to attending virtually / online roughly 8 hours per month towards the programme.
- This initiative aims to empower women-led entrepreneurs to drive sustainable energy solutions in the region.
- Women entrepreneurs in the areas of solar thermal, energy efficiency and productive use of energy will be given preferential consideration.
