About Tsinghua University Amgen Scholars Program
The Amgen Scholars Program is an International program aiming to increase research opportunitites for students commited to pursuing careers in sciences. The Amgen Scholars Program at Tsingua is an 8-week faculty-mentored residential summer research program that provides undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct research in a lab environment, engage in cutting-edge research experience and learn more about biotechnology and drug discovery.

Tsinghua University Amgen Scholars Program Requirements
- Applicants must be undergraduate students attending college/university mainly from the Asia region.
- Applicants must have completed a minimum first year of undergraduate degree when the summer program begins.
- Students must not be graduating before the Amgen Scholars summer program begins, and after completing the Amgen summer internship at Tsinghua University, they should resume their undergraduate degree for at least one semester or one quarter.
- They must have a strong academic record.
- Students must be proficient in English. If English is not their first language, they must have a minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 72, or IELTS score of 5.5, Cambridge English FCE, TOEIC score of 1095, or TOEIC S&W score of 310, TOEIC L&R score of 785,
- They must be interested in pursuing a PhD.
- They must not attend any extra course or job during the summer program and must attend the Amgen scholars program for full duration.
