Opportunity Details
The JPI Oceans initiative is a pan-European platform that aims to increase the efficiency and impact of research and innovation for the sustainable health and productivity of the seas and oceans. The strategies and national priorities of the Initiative Member States are the main elements of the Common Strategic Framework on maritime and maritime issues.
Total Irish budget: €1,000,000.
Maximum funding per Irish partner: €300,000 for a 3-year project.
If coordinating, an Irish partner can receive up to €350,000.
Two Irish partners: max €600,000 (€650,000 with one as coordinator).
Proposals must include eligible research partners from at least three participating countries.
Associated partners (from non-participating countries or ineligible under national rules) can join but:
Must fund their own participation.
Cannot coordinate or be critical to the project.
All partners must meet national eligibility criteria.
Coordinators must be eligible for funding by one of the funding partners.
