About Camargo Foundation - Camargo Fellowship for Artists, Scholars, and Thinkers
The Camargo Fellowship is the flagship program of the Camargo Foundation. Since 1971, the Camargo Foundation has awarded residencies to more than 1,500 individuals as part of its mission to support groundbreaking research, experimentation, and interdisciplinary approaches in the Arts and Humanities.

Financial Support
- Weekly stipend: EUR 350
- Total stipend: EUR 3,500
- Basic transportation support to and from Cassis
Accommodation
Fellows receive:

Camargo Foundation - Camargo Fellowship for Artists, Scholars, and Thinkers Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Artists
Eligible artists must:
- Have at least five years of professional artistic practice
- Demonstrate an established creative career
- Present a clear artistic project or research direction
Scholars and Thinkers
Eligible scholars should work in:
- Arts and humanities fields
- French studies
- Francophone studies
- Mediterranean studies
Creative Professionals and Practitioners
Applicants from cultural and creative sectors may apply if they demonstrate:
- Professional achievements
- Relevant experience
- A strong connection to research, creativity, or cultural practice
Additional Eligibility Conditions
Applicants must:
- Communicate effectively in English
- Be available for the complete 10-week residency period
Collaborative applications are accepted.
Requirements for collaborations:
- Teams may include up to three individuals
- Each participant receives individual fellowship support
Previous fellows cannot apply again until:
- Three years after completing their previous residency
