Opportunity Details
The October Fund aims to strengthen local communities in Waterbeach and Landbeach by supporting projects that foster participation, social cohesion, education, and recreation. Grants can be used for new initiatives or small-scale capital items that directly benefit the local population.
Grant size: £1,000 to £10,000.
Eligible costs: Salaries for project staff, vehicle rental, small capital items, and project delivery expenses.
Purpose: Support charitable projects that benefit communities in Waterbeach and Landbeach.
Focus areas: Sporting activities, social programs, educational initiatives, community wellbeing, and inclusion.
Registered charities, CIOs, religious organizations (if projects benefit the wider community without religious content).
Parish/town councils, village halls, community interest companies, co-operatives, schools, and sports clubs.
National organizations (only if delivering projects within Cambridgeshire).
Individuals cannot apply directly — must go through a referring organization.
