CASBS Stanford Fellowship Requirements

The CASBS fellowship is intended for researchers who have already established a strong record of academic or professional achievement. Ideal candidates should have a demonstrated capacity for independent research and scholarly contribution.

Applicants are generally expected to:

• Hold a PhD, professional degree such as a JD or MD, an equivalent foreign qualification, or an equivalent level of professional reputation.
• Be at least three to four years beyond their doctorate or equivalent qualification.
• Be an academic faculty member or independent researcher with a strong publication and research record.
• Communicate clearly in English.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in interdisciplinary intellectual engagement.
• Commit to living in residence for the full fellowship year without conflicting professional obligations.

CASBS does not offer postdoctoral fellowships, making the programme particularly suitable for mid-career and established scholars.
