About Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Internships
At CSIS, interns participate in a variety of activities that support individual programs/departments, including research, writing and project development. In addition, interns will participate in programs offered by the Abshire-Inamori Leadership Academy (AILA), the in-house leadership development program at CSIS.

Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Internships Requirements
- CSIS internships are open to all US Citizens and international applicants from all over the world.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the USA.
- Similarly, applicants should have some prior research experience.
- Applicant must be at least a college student or recent graduate (undergraduate or graduate students, master’s students, or recent graduates).
- CSIS provides internships for non-U.S. citizens, but they do not offer visas for interns. Interns must apply for a J1 Visa themselves.
