The International College of Photography, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the NeuflizeOBC Corporate Foundation for Visual Arts, has launched its annual Research-Creation Grant Program. This initiative aims to support long-term photographic research projects that engage with the historical foundations of photographic invention while offering space for contemporary interpretation, innovation, and experimentation.
A total of four research-creation grants will be awarded under this program.
Each selected project will receive:
€8,000 in financial support
Year-long institutional support from the International College of Photography
The grant is intended to support research, production, and conceptual development rather than short-term outputs.
To be eligible for the International College of Photography Research-Creation Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be residing or working in France, including overseas territories
Be a photographer or visual artist engaged in research-based practice
Submit a project that explicitly addresses the proposed theme related to the origins and evolution of photography
The program ensures broad access across the national photographic community while maintaining a strong thematic focus.
