Opportunity Details
CERN Openlab Summer Student Programme 2026 is a paid nine‑week summer programme at CERN in Geneva designed for bachelor’s and master’s students in computer science–related fields.
93 CHF per calendar day subsistence allowance (tax-free).
Coverage under CERN’s health insurance scheme (unless funded directly by a national agency).
Travel expenses to Geneva covered depending on circumstances.
Access to an extensive physics lecture programme and IT lectures.
Help with finding accommodation on or near CERN’s site.
Open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students (not PhD candidates).
Must have completed at least 6 semesters (3 years) of full-time studies in computing-related fields.
Cannot have worked at CERN for more than 3 months or participated in the programme before.
Must have good knowledge of English.
Must remain enrolled as a full-time student until the start of the programme.
