The City of Toronto established the Black-Led Climate Action Grants to empower Black communities to participate in and lead local climate action.The programme aligns with the TransformTO Net Zero Strategy and the Toronto Action Plan to Confront Anti-Black Racism.
Grassroots Groups – up to $10,000 (minimum 3 members; can apply via trustee or partner organization).
Registered Not-for-Profits – up to $25,000.
Collaborative Projects – up to $50,000 (only one awarded annually; priority for grassroots or youth-led collaborations)
Applicants must meet B3 requirements:
Black-led
Black-serving
Black-mandated.
Grassroots groups need at least three members
