Latin America is at a turning point: while some countries are making progress in adopting renewable energy, others continue to rely on fossil fuels as a supposedly temporary solution. What stories are shaping this transition? And who is telling them?
Climate Tracker is now open to applications for the ninth cycle of the Climate Journalism Mentoring Program , this time focusing on coverage of the energy transition. If you are a journalist and want to strengthen your skills, produce rigorous content, and inspire urgent conversations about your country's energy future, this opportunity is for you.
For three months, they will select six journalists—one per country— from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic to participate in their mentoring program.
Additionally, they'll invite particicpants to contribute to an issue of their weekly newsletter, Click Climático , by adapting one of their stories into a short, first-person narrative format to reach new audiences.

This ninth cycle of the Climate Journalism Mentoring Program continues the elements most valued by participants in previous editions: personalized editorial mentoring, the production of tailored content for newsletters and social media, and the opportunity to expand the reach of your stories through their network of partner media outlets.
Unlike previous cycles, this edition offers a more focused experience: we will work with a smaller, more specialized cohort, focused exclusively on coverage of the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean. This will allow them to provide deeper editorial support, foster stronger collaborations, and strengthen the collective impact of the stories generated.
