The Craft & Visual Arts Production Grant is designed to strengthen Saskatchewan’s creative economy by helping artists and craft producers develop products with commercial potential.The program supports the creation, refinement, and production of finished works intended for sale through retail outlets, galleries, markets, and other commercial channels.Funding is intended to help creative professionals expand production capacity, improve product quality, increase market readiness, and grow sustainable creative businesses.
Funding limits include:
Eligible applicants include individuals and corporations actively working in craft and visual arts under The Creative Saskatchewan Act.
Individual Applicants
Individuals must:
Be active craft or visual arts practitioners.
Meet Saskatchewan residency requirements.
Have filed Saskatchewan income tax returns, or
Provide valid Saskatchewan identification if recently returned to the province.
Be in good standing with Creative Saskatchewan.
Corporate Applicants
Corporations must:
Be majority Saskatchewan-owned.
Maintain a permanent establishment in Saskatchewan.
Operate within eligible creative industries.
Be in good standing with Creative Saskatchewan.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Projects must:
Demonstrate commercial viability.
Show business growth potential.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Focus on creative production activities.
Ensure the majority of project expenses are incurred within Saskatchewan.
Support the development of market-ready products.
Ineligible Applicants
The following are generally not eligible:
Political organizations
Religious organizations applying for religious purposes
Organizations promoting discrimination
Applicants not meeting residency requirements
Applicants not in good standing with Creative Saskatchewan
