The Culture and Animals Foundation (CAF) supports scholars, activists, and artists committed to advancing animal rights through academic and artistic work. Projects may explore, critique, or reframe current scientific knowledge, reflect on human responsibilities toward non-human animals, or envision future relationships between science and animals. The program encourages creative, performance-based, and research-oriented approaches to raise public awareness of animal advocacy.
Total Funding for 2026: US $40,000.
Individual Grant Amount: Up to US $5,000 per project.
Applicants from any country are welcome.
Scholars, activists, and artists working in research, creative, or performance fields aligned with animal rights.
Previous grantees may reapply for new or continued projects after one year, though priority is given to new applicants.
Only one project submission per applicant per funding cycle.
Confirm eligibility and choose a project category: research, creativity, or performance.
Develop a proposal demonstrating alignment with CAF objectives and animal rights advocacy.
Prepare a detailed project description, including expected outcomes, creative or academic methodology, and potential impact.
Submit the application online before January 31, 2026.
Await funding decision notifications, typically issued by early April.
