About Dangote Cement Undergraduate Industry-Based Engineering Research Competition

The Dangote Cement Engineering Competition 2026 is an undergraduate industry-based research challenge organized by the University of Lagos Engineering Society Academic & Research Board (ULES ARB) and sponsored by Dangote Cement Plc. It invites teams of engineering students to develop practical, evidence-based solutions to real operational problems in cement manufacturing, with a total prize pool of ₦1.5 million.

The competition is hosted at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria, and runs from 30 June to 14 July 2026. It bridges academic engineering with industry practice, helping students develop problem-solving, data analysis, and business case communication skills while networking with Dangote Cement Plc and engineering peers.

Dangote Cement Undergraduate Industry-Based Engineering Research Competition Requirements

• Teams of 2–4 currently enrolled engineering students
• Must be from the same university
• Submit original work
• Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged
• No prior cement industry experience required
