About Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy - PhD Scholarships in Classical Endocrinology
The DDEA Classical Endocrinology PhD Scholarship Programme aims to strengthen research in classical endocrinology by supporting talented PhD candidates undertaking high-quality research at Danish universities.
The programme encourages research that improves understanding of endocrine physiology and endocrine diseases while promoting scientific excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Projects should have a clear focus on classical endocrinology and contribute to advancing diagnosis, treatment, or understanding of endocrine disorders.

Each successful applicant will receive:
- DKK 1,100,000.
- Funding covering salary and tuition fees for two years of a three-year PhD programme.
Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy - PhD Scholarships in Classical Endocrinology Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be PhD candidates.
- Hold a Master’s degree from a Danish university or an equivalent foreign qualification approved by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science.
- Not already be enrolled as a PhD student when the grant notification is issued on 26 November 2026.
- Apply for enrolment at a Danish university.
- Submit only one DDEA PhD scholarship application during the application round.
Supervisor Requirements
The principal supervisor must:
- Be employed at the faculty of the Danish university where the applicant seeks enrolment.
- Hold a position as an associate professor or professor.
- Conduct research within the relevant academic discipline.
