About TU Delft - Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships

Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships supports excellent international applicants admitted to a regular two-year TU Delft MSc programme by providing financial support for tuition and living expenses. The scholarship is aimed at new incoming MSc students (not International Joint Education Programme students) who have achieved excellent academic results and submit a complete MSc application before the scholarship deadline.

The Justus & Louise van Effen Foundation finances the Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships. The foundation was established to stimulate excellent international MSc students and financially support their wish to study at TU Delft, based on the legacy of Justus and Louise van Effen and Mr van Effen’s belief that technological developments help solve societal issues.

TU Delft - Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships Requirements

• Be an international student applying for a regular TU Delft MSc programme
• Receive conditional or full admission to an eligible Master’s programme
• Demonstrate excellent academic results from previous university studies
• Submit a complete MSc application before the scholarship deadline

Application Date and Process

ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED MUST BE SUBMITTED  AT ONCE with the MSc Application !
1. Complete your MSc application (check the admission requirements)
2. Upload the Scholarship Application Form
3. Upload two reference letters

• You can upload your reference letters during your MSc application (as one PDF document), according to the indicated requirement.

And/or

• You can request the reference letters from your referee(s). Fill out the information about your referee/s and invite them by using the ‘send invitation button’. The referee(s) will receive an automatic email inviting him/her to upload a reference for you. 
• You can combine both procedures. E.g. 1 upload and 1 referee request.
• Reference letters will not be considered if you have already submitted your application.
• Reference letters will not be accepted after the Scholarship deadline.

4. Upload the English language certificate

Please note that all applicants who wish to be considered for a scholarship are required to include their English test with their MSc application before the Scholarship deadline application (if required).

PLEASE NOTE
All documents required for the scholarship must be submitted together with the MSc Application. After submission no additional documents can be uploaded.
