About Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland - Ireland Fellows Program
The Ireland Fellows Program 2027-28 offers an outstanding opportunity for early to mid-career professionals from eligible countries to pursue a fully funded Master’s degree in Ireland. Funded by Irish Aid under Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs, this prestigious fellowship aims to develop future leaders who can contribute to sustainable development and strengthen partnerships between Ireland and participating countries. The programme enables scholars to study at leading Irish higher education institutions in a wide range of development-related disciplines, including engineering, business, education, health, agriculture, climate change, law, and human rights. Alongside academic studies, fellows participate in leadership training, professional development, and networking activities that prepare them for leadership roles in their home countries.

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland - Ireland Fellows Program Requirements
- Be a citizen and resident of an eligible country.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent).
- Have at least 2–3 years of relevant professional work experience.
- Not already hold a Master’s degree.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to community development.
- Show commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Meet the English language requirements (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent).
- Be available to begin studies according to the programme schedule.
