About Department of Primary Industries and Regions - Honours and Masters Scholarships for Pasture Research
The AW Howard Memorial Trust Honours and Masters Scholarships provide financial support to outstanding Australian students undertaking one-year research projects related to pasture development, management, and use. The scholarships support agricultural and social science research, including economics, that contributes to improving knowledge and practices in Australia’s pasture systems.
Benefits of Department of Primary Industries and Regions - Honours and Masters Scholarships for Pasture Research
The AW Howard Memorial Trust may award up to five one-year research scholarships.
Each successful recipient will receive:
- AUD 7,000 stipend to support the student’s research activities.
- AUD 3,000 operating expenses funding for approved research project costs.
The scholarship provides funding for one year only.
Department of Primary Industries and Regions - Honours and Masters Scholarships for Pasture Research Requirements
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Intend to commence approved Honours or Masters tertiary studies at an Australian university.
- Be an Australian citizen, or have lived in Australia for the three years immediately before the application closing date.
- Undertake a research project directly related to pasture-focused agricultural or social science.
- Demonstrate academic ability and commitment to research.
For Masters applicants:
- The research project must represent at least 50% of the Masters by coursework postgraduate degree.
