The Canary Wharf Group Community Grant Programme 2026 provides funding for community-based projects that support education, skills development, employment opportunities, and wellbeing in Tower Hamlets.

Benefits of East End Community Foundation - Canary Wharf Group Community Grant Programme

• Grants of £500 – £10,000 are available to support local groups with an annual income of less than £2 million and statutory organisations.

East End Community Foundation - Canary Wharf Group Community Grant Programme Requirements

Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprises (VCFSE) with an annual income of under £2,000,000 per year. Eligible organisations are defined as:

• Registered charities
• Community groups with a constitution/governing document and bank account in organisation’s name*
• Co-operatives, community interest companies limited by guarantee and social enterprises that are not-for profit organisations
• Faith organisations

Schools and statutory agencies are eligible that are delivering services to meet the needs of residents, outside their mandated funding and statutory responsibilities

All applicants must have a bank account in the organisation’s name, with at least two unrelated cheque signatories.

Applicants must have at least two unrelated management committee members and/or trustees

They cannot accept applications from:

• For-profit organisations
• Individuals seeking funding for personal benefit, or sole traders
• Organisations based outside the UK
